SSC general math ex – 4.3 solution

সংখ্যার বৈজ্ঞানিক রূপ

সূচকের সাহায্যে আমরা অনেক বড় বা অনেক ছোট সংখ্যাকে ছোট ও সহজ আকারে প্রকাশ করতে পারি। যেমন,

আলোর গতি = 300000 কি.মি./সে. = 300000000 মিটার/সে.

= 3 × 100000000 মি/সে. = 3 × 10⁸ মি/সে.

সুবিধার জন্য অনেক বড় বা অনেক ছোট সংখ্যাকে a × 10ⁿ আকারে প্রকাশ করা হয়, যেখানে, 1 ≤ a < 10 এবং n ∈ Z× কোনো সংখ্যার a × 10ⁿ রূপকে বলা হয় সংখ্যাটির বৈজ্ঞানিক রূপ।

 লগারিদম পদ্ধতি

লগারিদম পদ্ধতি দুই ধরনের :

(ক) স্বাভাবিক লগারিদম (Natural Logarithm) : স্কটল্যান্ডের গণিতবিদ জন নেপিয়ার (John Napier : 1550-1617) ১৬১৪ সালে e কে ভিত্তি ধরে প্রথম লগারিদম সম্পর্কিত বই প্রকাশ করেন। e একটি অমূলদ সংখ্যা, e = 2.71828…..। তাঁর এই লগারিদমকে নেপিরিয়ান লগারিদম বা e ভিত্তিক লগারিদম বা স্বাভাবিক লগারিদমও বলা হয়। log_ex কে ln x আকারেও লেখা হয়।

(খ) সাধারণ লগারিদম (Common Logarithm) : ইংল্যান্ডের গাণিতবিদ হেনরি ব্রিগস (Henry Briggs : 1561-1630) ১৬২৪ সালে 10 কে ভিত্তি করে লগারিদমের টেবিল (লগ টেবিল বা লগ সারণি) তৈরি করেন। তাঁর এই লগারিদমকে ব্রিগস লগারিদম বা 10 ভিত্তিক লগারিদম বা ব্যবহারিক লগারিদমও বলা হয়।

দ্রষ্টব্য : লগারিদমের ভিত্তির উল্লেখ না থাকলে রাশির (বীজগণিতীয়) ক্ষেত্রে e কে এবং সংখ্যার ক্ষেত্রে 10 কে ভিত্তি হিসেবে ধরা হয়। লগ সারণিতে ভিত্তি 10 ধরতে হয়।

 সাধারণ লগারিদমের পূর্ণক ও অংশক

(ক) পূর্ণক (Characteristics) : ধরি, একটি সংখ্যা N কে বৈজ্ঞানিক আকারে প্রকাশ করে পাই, N = a × 10ⁿ, যেখানে N > 0, 1 ≤ a < 10 এবং n ∈ Z । উভয় পক্ষে 10 ভিত্তিতে লগ নিয়ে পাই, log₁₀N = log₁₀(a × 10ⁿ)

 log₁₀N= log₁₀a + log₁₀10ⁿ ভিত্তি 10 উহ্য রেখে পাই, log N = n + log a; n কে বলা হয় logN এর পূর্ণক।

দ্রষ্টব্য : ১ পূর্ণক ধনাত্মক বা ঋণাত্মক হতে পারে। কিন্তু অংশক সর্বদা ধনাত্মক।

দ্রষ্টব্য : ২ কোনো পূর্ণক ঋণাত্মক হলে, পূর্ণকটির বামে ‘-’ চিহ্ন না দিয়ে পূর্ণকটির উপরে ‘-’ (বার চিহ্ন) দিয়ে লেখা হয়।

যেমন, পূর্ণক – 3 কে লেখা হয় – 3 দিয়ে। তা না হলে অংশকসহ লগের সম্পূর্ণ অংশটি ঋণাত্মক বোঝাবে।

(খ) অংশক (Mantissa) : কোনো সংখ্যার সাধারণ লগের অংশক 1 অপেক্ষা ছোট একটি অঋণাত্মক সংখ্যা। এটি মূলত অমূলদ সংখ্যা। তবে একটি নির্দিষ্ট দশমিক স্থান পর্যন্ত অংশকের মান বের করা হয়।

কোনো সংখ্যার লগের অংশক লগ তালিকা থেকে বের করা যায়। আবার তা ক্যালকুলেটরের সাহায্যেও বের করা যায়।

∴ সংখ্যাটির পূর্ণক – 5 বা,

অন্যভাবে, সংখ্যাটির দশমিক বিন্দু ও এর পরবর্তী প্রথম সার্থক অঙ্ক 3 এর মাঝে 4 টি 0 (শূন্য) আছে।

∴ সংখ্যাটিতে লগের পূর্ণক = – (4 + 1) = – 5 বা, (Ans.)
